Hi! I’m a freelance writer, researcher, Star Wars geek, classic film lover, amateur genealogist, Broncos fan, and mom. Whew!
My first book Star Wars: I Love You. I Know.: Lessons in Love and Friendship comes out January 12, 2021 from DK Publishing.
I’m a regular contributor to the official Star Wars website (StarWars.com) and the magazine Star Wars Insider. My work has also appeared in Nerdist, Screenrant, and I wrote about the Denver Broncos for several outlets over the years including Mile High Report.
I worked as a researcher for the docu-series about female Star Wars fandom Looking for Leia and I’ve been researching female Star Wars characters and women who worked behind the scenes on Star Wars projects for the 365 Star Wars Women Project.
I have a background in film history, analysis, and preservation from academic and archive work at UC Santa Barbara, The George Eastman House, the UCLA Film & Television Archives, YCM Laboratories, and The Lucasfilm Film Archive at Skywalker Ranch. I worked for many years as a film preservationist helping to restore classic films such as Gone With the Wind and Citizen Kane. I’m currently running the website See Classic Films to help people find classic films online and on the big screen.
If you have a project that needs a writer or researcher contact me at amy (at) richau (dot) org. I’ll deliver an on-time product perfectly tailored to your audience.
