Hi! I’m a freelance writer, researcher, Star Wars geek, classic film lover, amateur genealogist, Broncos fan, and mom of two kids and several pets living in a small town outside of Boulder, Colorado. Whew!
My first book Star Wars: I Love You. I Know.: Lessons in Love and Friendship comes out January 12, 2021 from DK Publishing.
I have a background in film history and analysis from a Film Studies degree from UC Santa Barbara and a Certificate in Film Preservation from The George Eastman House. I worked for many years as a film preservationist helping to restore classic films such as Gone With the Wind and Citizen Kane at the UCLA Film & Television Archives, YCM Laboratories, and The Lucasfilm Film Archive at Skywalker Ranch.
Now I’m working as a freelance writer and researcher. I’m a regular contributor to the official Star Wars website (StarWars.com) and the magazine Star Wars Insider. I’m also the Principal Researcher for a docu-series about female Star Wars fandom called Looking for Leia.
If you have a project that needs a freelance writer contact me at amy (at) richau (dot) org. I’ll deliver an on-time product perfectly tailored to your audience.
