I've created book outlines, suggested what to cut and what to keep in revised editions, and written everything from blurbs and captions to heavily researched chapters on behind-the-scenes history and long-form academic essays.

I was the Managing Editor of the Star Wars Celebration Commemorative Guide for Anaheim (2022), London (2023), and Japan (2025).

In this role I work with ReedPop and multiple departments at Lucasfilm and Disney to produce an approximately 100-page guide that is sold at Star Wars Celebration. I work directly with the guide designer and a team of writers and write much of the guide's content. The guide contains event information, interviews, historical lookbacks, and articles showcasing current and future Star Wars productions and products.

About Me

Amy Richau at Galaxy's Edge

I specialize in pop culture reference, history, and behind-the-scenes projects. For many of the books I've worked on, I've created outlines or suggested what to keep and what can be cut in updated editions. I worked as a film archivist/preservationist for many years and am always thrilled when I can work on projects that shine a light on hidden histories relating to classic films. (I even have a currently much-ignored website called SeeClassicFilms.com that helps people find local theaters screening classic films.)

I'm a regular contributor to StarWars.com and ILM.com, and I've been the Managing Editor for the Star Wars Celebration Commemorative Guide since 2021, working with both ReedPop and Lucasfilm. Before I started working directly with Lucasfilm and Disney, I created the 365 Star Wars Women project — celebrating female characters in Star Wars and women who worked behind the scenes.

Since I work on a lot of Star Wars projects, I know the importance of discretion and that you have to be flexible on timelines and prepared for the unexpected.
